Travis Pastrana to be injured, out of 2008 Race of Champions |

Just getting this one through the grapevine. Apparently Travis Pastrana has injured himself sustaining a rumored broken hip and ankle—we don’t have full details on how. As a result he is unable to compete in this weekend’s Race Of Champions for Team USA at Wembley Stadium in London, UK. 
The Race Of Champions pits the world’s top drivers in identical cars (this year it’s KTM X-Bows) head to head both individually and in teams representing their respective countries. Competitiors for 2008 include champions from Formula One, WRC and Touring Car Racing such as Michael Schumacher, Marcus Gronholm, Sebastian Loeb and Jensen Button. At a time when many carmakers are pulling out of the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) due to the economic crisis, Subaru has not only confirmed that it will be present in Detroit this January, but also that it will stage the world debut of a concept vehicle.

This, of course, was the finale to the weekend long celebration of Colin McRae's life, which saw over 1,100 Scoobys converge on Prodrive's test track in Warwickshire. Precisely how many cars took part in the ensuing 30-mile convoy is unknown, but if you don't have anything better to do right now, you can have a go at counting them in the video after the jump (and look out for the near miss at 6:42). Cant Get Away From Ethanol .. |

I seem to can’t get away from ethanol and from all the negative effects of it:
1. The bad mileages (I have definitely noticed and proved about 4 mpg decreased!),
2. Low power although I’ve read that it does the opposite to turbocharged cars (I haven’t noticed the difference in my car)…and of course,
3. The corrosion in fuel system (in the long run)…although who knows what other bad additives are already in the regular gasoline sold by some gas stations. So far no one knows exactly how bad the corrosion is to the fuel system but it will cost some corrosion because ethanol has a tendency to pick up water whether from transportation process or storage. Well the other day a buddy of mine decided he wanted to get some practice before a big film competition we are entering. At first, we were just going to use some equipment and do some refreshers.
